How to use an astrolabe.
Step 1 Choose a tall object to measure .
Step 2 Look through the straw at the top of the object.
STEP 3 Move forwards or backwards until the string line is hanging at 45 degrees. Get a helper to check.
step 4 Measure how far you are from the object you are measuring and write that down.
step 5 Measure from your eye to the ground.
step 6 Add it up and you have your answer.
